Trenton Men Charged with Donnelly Homes Shooting

Trenton

Two Trenton men have been arrested and charged with the shooting at Donnelly homes that occurred earlier this week.

An investigation by the Mercer County Shooting Response Team resulted in attempted murder and weapons charges against Tommy Allen, 20, and Darryl Milton, 23, both of Trenton.

The charges stem from the shooting that occurred just before 10 p.m. on August 22nd on the 900 block of Southard Street.

The shooting victim arrived at the hospital on his own minutes after the shots were fired. The victims remains in critical condition.

Members of the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office, the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office, the Trenton Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Allen without incident late last night at his Centre Street residence in Trenton.

The agencies then located Milton inside a residence in the 400 block of Chambers Street early Friday morning.

A search warrant executed by the Mercer County Narcotics Task Force at Allen’s Centre Street residence revealed a half-pound of marijuana and $10,000 in cash.

The prosecutor’s office has filed motions to detain both suspects.

The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are expected.

Despite having been charged, every defendant is presumed innocent until found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
