Trenton Man Dies After Gunman Shoots him in the Face


The Mercer County Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into a shooting that left a man dead in Trenton Monday night.  

Police said gunfire erupted in the 400 block of West Hanover Street just before 9:00 p.m.

According to Mercer County authorities, emergency responders rushed to the scene and found the man suffering a bullet wound in his face.

Medical personnel administered CPR to the unidentified man before EMS rushed him to the hospital, where he died from his injuries.

Trenton Police and Mercer County Major CRimes detectives found several shell casings and other evidence at the scene, but the suspect fled the area on foot. 

The identity of the victim has not been release date this time.
