Authorities in Mercer County announced that an investigation conducted by the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Trenton Police Department has resulted in the arrest of a 43-year-old Trenton man for explicit contact with a juvenile in the city.
Mercer County Prosecutor Janetta D. Marbrey stated that Irin Green, 43, is charged with one count of first-degree aggravated explicit contact and one count of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
He was taken into custody in Trenton on June 13, MCPO officials say.
The prosecutor’s office has filed a motion to detain Green pending trial.
According to Mercer County officials, the criminal complaint alleges that the defendant had explicit contact with the child approximately four years ago at a residence in Trenton.
The child and their mother reported the allegations to police earlier this month, Mercer County authorities stated.
The investigation is ongoing.
