Trenton Man Arrested and Charged for November Stabbing Homicide in Trenton

A Trenton man has been arrested and charged with last month’s homicide of Sam Livingston III, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri reported.

Officials said Mr. Reginald Montique, 38, of Carroll Street, is charged with murder and weapons offenses.

He was taken into custody Sunday afternoon in Norristown, Pennsylvania, by the U.S. Marshals NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force and officers with the Norristown Police Department.

There is no scheduled court appearance at this time. He is currently pending extradition to Mercer County.

According to police, the charges are the result of an investigation by the Mercer County Homicide Task Force.

 

According to police, at approximately 1 a.m. on Friday, November 13, Trenton patrol officers were alerted to an unresponsive male at a bus stop in the first block of West State Street.

The victim, later identified as 41-year-old Livingston, suffered multiple stab wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
