Authorities in Mercer County have charged a Trenton man in the fatal shootings of his ex-girlfriend and her teenage daughter, who were found dead inside a city residence last weekend.
According to a statement released by the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office, 45-year-old Bahin Lynch faces two counts of first-degree murder, along with weapons-related charges including first-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and second-degree certain persons not to possess a firearm.

Officials said Lynch was formerly in a relationship with 40-year-old Malika Whiting, one of the two victims discovered on the morning of April 12.
Police were called around 10:30 a.m. to a residence along the 300 block of West State Street after a 911 caller reported two individuals dead inside the home.
Upon arrival, officers located 13-year-old Jairah Biggs (pictured), Whiting’s daughter, in a third-floor bedroom with a fatal gunshot wound. Whiting was found on the stairway leading to the same floor, also suffering from a gunshot wound.
Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

Trenton Police Director Steve Wilson confirmed that the investigation remains ongoing in coordination with the prosecutor’s office.
Authorities have not disclosed a motive in the case.
