Police in Passaic have closed a section of Passaic Avenue between Lafayette Avenue and Boulevard after a "massive" tree fell on a car.
According to police, the incident occurred at approximately 10:15 a.m. when police and the fire department received a call that a tree had fallen on a car with a person trapped inside.
According to initial reports, the trapped person was extracted from the vehicle by the firefighters. They were transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
