Emergency responders and rescue crews rushed to an Irvington Township neighborhood after a tree fell on top of a house this evening.
The incident happened at 28 Hazel Place shortly before 5:15 p.m. where crews arrived and evacuated the multi-family home according to reports.
The tree caused major damage to the roof but there were no physical injuries.
In a separate incident in the Township, police closed off Western Parkway after a large tree fell in the the middle of a street that's adjacent to the Garden State Parkway.
The incident caused heavy traffic delays in the area but there were no serious injuries reported.
