Train, Car Crash Kills Toddler Seriously Injures 56-Year-Old Man in Burlington County

Friday night a car collided with train fatally injuring a toddler after he was ejected from the car. 

The 56-year-old man, grandfather of the toddler, was also seriously injured, according to reports.

According to NJ Transit spokesperson, crash occurred shortly after 4 p.m. when the light rail struck the car at the Chester Avenue grade crossing in Delran.

The vehicle had three occupants who were transported to Cooper Medical Center, according to spokesperson.

He added, the 75 customers aboard the light rail, five suffered non-life threatening injuries.
