Authorities on the campus of New Jersey Institute of Technology are currently investigating a heartbreaking incident in which a 19-year-old woman tragically lost her life after falling from a parking deck.
The incident occurred overnight, with some students on the college campus saying they witnessed the tragic event.
According to their accounts, the incident unfolded around midnight at the parking deck on Martin Luther King Boulevard. Emergency responders swiftly arrived at the scene in response to the distressing situation.
Witnesses say the young woman was reportedly on the rooftop of the parking deck when she fell several stories. She was pronounced dead shortly after the fall.
While early indications do not suggest foul play, authorities are actively conducting an investigation to fully understand the circumstances surrounding this incident.
The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office has not announced involvement in the incident at this time.
At this time, no other injuries have been reported.
