On Saturday morning, December 9, the Egg Harbor Police Department responded to a distressing call at 2909 Fire Road in Egg Harbor Township.
They arrived at the scene at around 8:25 a.m. to find two individuals unresponsive inside the residence.
Police said the two individuals were identified as Thai Tran, 28, and Viet Tran, 53, both residents of the address.
Despite the immediate response by officers and the arrival of a nurse practitioner, both individuals were pronounced deceased at the scene.
The South Regional Medical Examiner’s Office took possession of the bodies, and autopsies will be conducted to determine the cause and manner of death.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Egg Harbor Township Police Department are actively investigating this incident.
