Traffic Stop Results in Juveniles Arrested for Possessing Weapons in Jersey City

Police in Jersey City took two teens into custody after a traffic stop investigation ended in the recovering weapons overnight. 

Just before 11:15 p.m, Friday, Jersey City Police pulled over a vehicle for traffic violations in the 300 block of Forrest Street. 

During the investigation, police recovered a loaded weapon inside the vehicle, which reportedly led officers to an address in the 400 block of Martin Luther King Drive, where cops found two additional guns. 

The juveniles were taken to Jersey City Medical Center for an evaluation while officers requested a k-9 unit to assist in the investigation. 

Jersey City Police is handling the investigation.
