A 28-year-old Toms River man has pleaded guilty after admitting he threatened to kill another driver during a road rage confrontation in Atlantic City last year.

According to information released by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, Frank Marin pleaded guilty on Tuesday, July 7, before the Honorable Christine Smith, J.S.C., to one count of third-degree terroristic threats.
Under the plea agreement, prosecutors will recommend a sentence of three years in New Jersey State Prison.
Authorities said the incident occurred on September 12, 2025, when Atlantic City police responded to a reported road rage dispute on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
Investigators said the victim had stopped at an intersection to allow an ambulance to pass when a white Nissan Altima, driven by Marin, allegedly ran a red light and nearly struck the victim’s vehicle.
According to prosecutors, the two drivers confronted each other on MLK Jr. Boulevard after the victim told Marin he had nearly caused a crash.
As the victim attempted to drive away, Marin allegedly pulled alongside the vehicle, blocked it, and threatened to kill both the driver and the victim’s dog.
Prosecutors said Marin then retrieved a Taser from his vehicle and approached the victim’s car.
The victim drove forward, striking Marin’s Nissan before Marin returned to his vehicle and left the scene, according to authorities.
