TODAY: YWCA Northern NJ to Host Free Career Expo Connecting Women with Employers

Women across Northern New Jersey seeking job opportunities or career advancement are invited to attend the 2025 Women of the Workforce: Career Expo, a free event hosted by YWCA Northern New Jersey. 

The expo will be held on Tuesday, May 13, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Bergen New Bridge Medical Center Auditorium in Paramus.

According to information released by YWCA Northern New Jersey, the event is designed to support unemployed, underemployed, and career-transitioning women by connecting them with companies actively hiring across sectors such as healthcare, finance, technology, public service, and more.

“This Career Expo is more than just a job fair—it’s a launchpad for economic independence and empowerment,” said Helen Archontou, CEO of YWCA Northern New Jersey. “We are committed to breaking down employment barriers and creating pathways to opportunity for women in our region.”

Attendees will have the chance to meet face-to-face with recruiters from several prominent organizations, including:

-Bergen New Bridge Medical Center

-Cura, Inc.

-New Jersey Department of Corrections – Custody Recruitment and Community Outreach

-Crestron Electronics

-Visions Federal Credit Union

-Garden State Equality

-Children’s Aid & Family Services

-Displaced Homemakers Program (NJ Department of Labor)

-BLOC Foundation

In addition to networking with employers, participants can take advantage of career-building resources such as resume reviews, LinkedIn profile support, free professional headshots, and one-on-one coaching sessions.

Career coaching will be provided by:
