Three Women, Man Wanted for Allegedly Attacking, Macing Woman in Newark

Newark Police obtained a warrant for the arrests of Ms. Karizmah D. Wiley, 23, Ms. Shanay Moss, 29, Ms. Destiny Carter, 18, and Mr. Wayne Moss, 30, all of Newark, for an incident of aggravated assault that occurred on Saturday, June 9th.

According to a statement released by Newark Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose, at approximately 4 p.m., police responded to the 100-block of Peshine Avenue on a call of an aggravated assault.

Police say a female victim drove to Newark following a physical altercation with another woman in Hillside.

The victim said that she exited her vehicle and was assaulted by the four suspects that she is familiar with.

Authorities say during the attack, the victim was sprayed with mace and threatened with a knife.

Detectives investigating this incident have secured a warrant for the arrest of Karizmah D. Wiley, Shanay Moss, Destiny Carter and Wayne Moss on charges of aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, criminal mischief, and conspiracy.

While police are actively searching for these suspects, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing them from Newark streets.
