Police in Kearny assisted North Arlington authorities early Sunday morning as officers searched for three suspects wanted in connection with an attempted residential burglary.
According to initial reports, the incident occurred around 1:45 a.m. in the 50 block of Fairmount Avenue in North Arlington.
Officers were dispatched after residents reported seeing several suspects wearing dark clothing and hooded sweatshirts attempting to gain access to the rear of a home.
Police responded quickly to the area and secured the location, at which point the suspects fled the scene.
The Kearny Police Department assisted with the search for the suspects, but no arrests were reported.
The incident remains under investigation. No additional details were released as of Sunday morning.
