Three Shot in Separate Overnight Shootings in Newark

Police in Newark are investigating separate overnight shootings that left three people injured in the city.

Cops responded to reports of multiple rounds of gunfire that rang out in the 100 block of North 11th Street shortly before 4 a.m.

Arriving units located a plethora of shell casings that littered the the neighborhood with several vehicles damaged and penetrated by gunfire.

A search of the area had authorities find two victims that were struck by apparent gunfire at that location.

The pair were transported via EMS to University hospital suffering non-life threatening injuries to the back and buttocks according to reports.

Police setup a crime scene in the area where they searched for evidence and suspects responsible for the shootings.

Over in the city's North Ward, Police rushed to the area of Clifton Ave. at Bloomfield Ave. at around 3 a.m. where they arrived to find a male victim suffering a gunshot wound to the leg.

EMS transported the victim to University Hospital where he was listed in serious condition after severe bleeding according to reports.

There were no arrests reported in any of the shootings.
