Three Detained in Newark for Reported Montville Home Invasion Robbery

Police detained three suspects who they believe occupied a vehicle wanted for a home invasion robbery reported in Morris County Wednesday. 

Montville Police responded to reports of a home invasion robbery in one of their neighborhoods when they canvassed the scene and found suspects occupying a white BMW speed from the location. 

The male driver ignored police lights and sirens and ultimately made his way onto the eastbound lanes of I-280 with police in pursuit. 

Officers lost the vehicle in the vicinity of Orange and 1st Street in Newark but continued to canvass the area with the help of state and local police. 

According to reports, the vehicle was located by police in the vicinity of 239 6th Street. 

Police have not formally announced an arrest, but the suspects were detained, and the investigation remains active.
