Third Man Accused of Stabbing, Robbery in East Rutherford, Arrested

Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal announced the arrest of Kenrick Terrell Brown, 21, of South Carolina on charges of robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.

On the afternoon of August 6th, the East Rutherford Police Department received a 9-1-1 call reporting a male with stab wounds on the 300 block of Route 3 East.

Responding officers located the victim, administered first aid, and transported him to Hackensack University Medical Center for treatment.


The investigation revealed that the victim was the target of a robbery, during which he had been stabbed. Immediately after the robbery and stabbing, three suspects fled the area and traveled back to South Carolina.

As previously reported, within days two of the suspects, Andrew J. Jefferson and Deshun Hill, were both arrested and charged with attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder, robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery and are being held in custody in South Carolina pending extradition to New Jersey.

According to authorities, 
yesterday the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department Fugitive Task Force arrested Brown and charged him with robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.

He is currently being held without bail at the Lexington County Jail pending extradition to New Jersey.

Prosecutor Grewal states that these charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
