Police are on the search for a thief wanted for stealing a car left running in Roselle Sunday evening.
Officers were called to an address in the area of Chestnut Street and West Union Avenue to investigate reports of a car theft shortly before 5:30 p.m.
Upon arrival, the owner told police that a male suspect jumped in their grey 2000 Acura TL.
The vehicle had a reported NJ license plate number "R54-ELC."
Police say the car was last seen heading westbound on West 2nd Avenue.
Keys were left inside the vehicle, according to reports.
