In a daring incident at Newport Mall's Sunglass Hut, Jersey City Police officials said an unknown male forcibly entered the store around 9:30 p.m., making away with three pairs of sunglasses with a combined value of $952.

Officers from The Jersey City Police Department arrived on the scene promptly after the incident was reported.

According to the complainant, the suspect was informed that the store was closed.

However, police said this warning fell on deaf ears as the perpetrator disregarded it, shoving the victim aside and pushing his way through the already-opened front doors.

The victim, unfortunately, was shoved during the ordeal, but no serious injuries occurred.
