Newark Police are investgiating a burglary of a church that occurred in the city during the overnight hours.
According to reports, police were called to the Chosen Generation Ministry Church located in the 100 block of Hudson Street after they received reports of a burglary in progress before 12:50 a.m.
Upon arrival, police learned that an unidentified suspect unlawfully entered the house of worship through the roof.
Police did not confirm what was taken from the church and would only say that the incident remains under investigation. Parishioners were observed making their way into the church on Sunday for first services.
The suspect, remains at-large.
