Police in Tenafly are investigating an armed robbery that was reported in the city overnight.
Officers were called to the 100 block of Franklin Street at 4:43 a.m. Sunday for a report of an armed robbery.
Upon arrival, police met with a family - that consisted of two adults and their 20-year-old and 17-year-old sons - who told them that as they arrived home from a New York casino, two males, who possibly followed them into the Bergen County community, robbed them at gunpoint.
The suspects - only described as two Hispanic males, one approximately 5 feet 8 inches and the other approximately 6 feet tall - allegedly took between $2,000 and $5,000 in cash from wallets and a backpack.
Police are attempting to review footage from the casino.
The incident remains under investigation.
