We are waking up to an unusually warm start across Newark and the North Jersey region this Tuesday, with near-record heat expected for the middle of April.

Good morning!
If you’re up with us at 4:30 a.m., you’re stepping into a beautiful start to the day.
Skies are clear, conditions are calm, and it’s shaping up to be a picture-perfect stretch of weather across the region.
Temperatures in downtown Newark are already around 61 degrees with a light breeze, setting the stage for a rapid warm-up.
Forecasters say highs will climb into the mid-80s, with some spots pushing close to 90 degrees—well above what’s typical for this time of year.
According to the National Weather Service, today will remain mostly sunny with a high near 86 degrees.
Winds will be light early before shifting to the southwest at 8 to 13 mph by late morning.
Tonight, conditions stay mild with partly cloudy skies and lows only dipping to around 66 degrees, with a light southwest breeze continuing.

It’s a rare taste of summer in April—perfect for getting outside, but you may want to dress accordingly, stay hydrated, and take advantage of what will be one of the warmest days we’ve seen so far this season.
Have a great day, New Jersey.
