Teen Charged with Deadly NJ Stabbing

The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office has spearheaded the investigation into a tragic incident following a call that prompted the Atlantic City Police Department's response to the 1300 block of Caspian Avenue.

Authorities said in a statement that the incident, which occurred on Wednesday around 10:40 pm, involved a juvenile male who had sustained a stab wound.

Inside the apartment, law enforcement located a 16-year-old male from Atlantic City, who appeared to have suffered at least one stab wound to the chest.

Authorities say he was rushed to AtlantiCare Medical Center in Atlantic City, where, despite medical efforts, he tragically succumbed to his injuries.

A fellow 16-year-old male from Atlantic City, only identified as T.C., has been implicated in connection with the stabbing.

Authorities said T.C. now faces charges of first-degree murder, third-degree unlawful possession of a knife, and third-degree possession of a knife for an illicit purpose. Currently, T.C. is being held at a juvenile detention center in New Jersey.

This incident's examination is being jointly conducted by the Major Crimes Unit of the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office and the Violent Crimes Unit of the Atlantic City Police Department.
