Teen Among Three Injured In Separate Jersey City Shootings

A set of violent overnight shootings sent as many as three people to the hospital in Jersey City overnight including a teenager according to authorities.

Officials at the Jersey City Medical Center contacted authorities when a male victim suffering injury from apparent gunfire to the neck walked into the emergency room at around 5 a.m.

The victim (who was reported to be around 15-yeras-old) told authorities that he was struck by gunfire in the 100 block of Woodlawn Avenue shortly he arrived to the hospital.

Police canvassed the area where they reportedly located a blood trail from 152 to 156 Woodlawn Avenue then several shell casings at 125 Woodlawn.

The vicim's injuries were not immediately reported as life threatening.

Shortly before 2:30 a.m., Jersey City Medical Center hospital officials contacted police when a male vicim -who was suffering injury from gunfire- arrived to the hospital.

The victim told authorities that he was shot in the area of Ocean Avenue and Woodlawn Avenue shortly before arriving to the hospital.

The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the arm and leg but his injuries were not reported as life threatening.

Police found a crime scene at the said location and are investigating the shooting.

Cops were called to the 40's block of Fulton Street shortly before 11 p.m. for reports of shots fired with a male victim down.

Arriving units located the victim suffering a gunshot wound to the chest.

EMS rushed the victim to Jersey City Medical Center where his condition was not released.

It is not clear if any of the shootings are connected.
