Suspects Wanted for Robberies in Newark's Ironbound Section

Police in Newark seeks the public’s assistance identifying suspects wanted in connection with a robbery that occurred on Thursday, July 26th, in the city's Ironbound section.

According to police, at approximately 7:30 p.m., a man walking in the area of Jefferson Street near Ferry Street was robbed of his personal property by two suspects who fled southbound on Jefferson towards Ferry Street.

Police say the first suspect is described as a dark complexion black male who is approximately 6-foot tall and 130 lbs.

Police say the suspect wore a white hat and black shirt during the incident.

According to police, the second suspect is described as 5’10” tall and also weighs about 130 lbs. with a dark complexion.

While police are actively searching for these suspects, we seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating them and removing them from our streets.
