An early morning armed robbery of a gas station in Newark has police searching for the suspects responsible.
The incident happened at the Getty Gas Station located in the 200 block of Elizabeth Avenue shortly before 5 a.m. in the city's South Ward.
According to reports, two black male suspects (who were wearing hoodies and masks) robbed the establishment at gunpoint.
The men took an undetermined amount of cash before fleeing the scene east on Concord Street.
There were no injuries immediately reported.
