Police in Newark are on the search for a suspect wanted for firing shots in a neighborhood in the city on Tuesday morning.
According to police, gunfire rang out in the teens block of Brenner Street at approximately 1:20 a.m., sending officers to the scene to investigate.
Upon arrival, officers found evidence that a shooting occurred, but after a search of the area, there were no victims located.
Police say the suspect arrived in a vehicle and began shooting at unknown targets but never left the car.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
