EMS units were called to the scene of a violent attack that had a person jumped then beaten by as many as five suspects on a street in Jersey City during the overnight hours.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to reports of an assault in progress that happened at approximately 3:45 a.m. in the 400 block of Summit Avenue were arriving officers found the male victim suffering non-life threatening injuries after te suspects reportedly approahed then began beating on him for an unkown reason.
The victim was treated by medica personell while police launched an investigation into the attack.
There were no other injuries reported.
