Suspects Sought for Theft of Wallet from Amazon Delivery Truck in Newark

The public's help is sought in identifying the two suspects wanted for a theft from an Amazon truck that occurred on February 4th.

According to Newark Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose, the incident occurred in the 900 block of 18th Avenue, where the suspect observed in the image wearing the tan jacket entered the Amazon van and removed the driver’s wallet.

Director Ambrose said both suspects then ran from the scene.

Police said the first suspect wore a tan jacket and has a Mohawk-style haircut while the remaining suspect has dreadlocks and wore a black coat.

Police are actively searching the city and surrounding municipalities for both males.
