Suspects Sought for Newark North Ward Robbery


Police seek the public’s help in identifying male robbery suspects in an incident that occurred on Thursday, August 20.

Police said at approximately 6:30 a.m., the victim was riding a bicycle in the area of Grafton Avenue and McCarter Highway when he was struck from behind by two males who then robbed him of his personal property.

Detectives investigating this incident obtained surveillance footage of the suspects and sought the public’s help in identifying them as part of this investigation.

Police say the first suspect is described as between 5’8” and 5’10” tall and 130 to 150 lbs. He was wearing blue jeans, a blue hooded sweater and blue and white Jordan sneakers.

The second suspect is described as between 5’6” and 5’8” tall and 150 to 160 lbs. He was wearing a black sweatsuit with red lettering on the sweater and red and white Jordan sneakers.
