Newark police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two men accused of shoplifting perfume from a women’s apparel store last week.

According to officials, the theft occurred on Monday, July 28, 2025, at approximately 3:35 p.m. at Tutti Fruit Boutique, located in the 200 block of Ferry Street.
Surveillance footage shows the suspects browsing the store before requesting to view several fragrances.
Police say Suspect #1 paid for an item but concealed stolen merchandise valued at $396 in a backpack.
He then exited the store with a second suspect without paying for the concealed items.
Suspect #1 is described as a Black male in his late 30s with a stocky build.
He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt with orange lettering spelling “Brute,” black shorts featuring a metallic silver web stamp, and black shoes.
Suspect #2 is described as a Hispanic male in his late 30s with a slender build. He was wearing a black T-shirt, gray shorts, a black hat, black glasses, and metallic Jordan sneakers.
