EMS units were called to the scene of a reported carjacking that had the victim struck by their vehicle during the Newark incident on Thursday afternoon.
According to a preliminary investigation, at approximately 3:35 p.m., police were called to the scene of a possible carjacking near the intersection of South 10th Street and 13th Avenue.
Upon arrival, the victim met the police and told them that the suspects carjacked their Mercedes Benz sedan shortly before they came to the scene.
The vehicle has a reported NJ license plate number, "G39-LTW".
According to police, the victim's injuries were considered non-life-threatening and no arrests have been made at this time.
