Suspects Occupying Stolen Vehicle from South Orange Wanted for Multiple Newark Armed Robberies

Police in Newark are on the search for several suspects who were last seen occupying a car stolen for South Orange and are wanted for several armed robberies in Newark and surrounding towns.

According to police, the vehicle is a metallic Orange BMW with reported temporary license plates numbers "T535786".

The driver of the car is reported to be a heavy-set black male who wore a white shirt and a do-rag according to authorities.

Police officials say the driver led officers on a pursuit for several minutes beginning at around 7:45 a.m. in Newark's South Ward, West Ward and into Irvington before officers lost sight of the vehicle northbound on Fabyan Place.

According to police, the suspects committed one of their Newark robberies in the 100 block of Chadwick Avenue and others in Irvington and East Orange.

There were no physical injuries reported.
