Reports of an overnight attempted carjacking that happened in a Newark neighborhood has police investigating.
Police are looking for **a green Lexus GS** with a reported a reported NJ licenses plate number "GS9-656" that was occupied by as many as two black males when they attempted to pull off a carjacking that occurred at around 1 a.m. in the area of North 7th Street and Sussex Avenue according to reports.
The suspects reportedly approached the victim with a gun and attempted to steal the vehicle.
Police believe that the vehicle that the suspects are occupying was carjacked out of the city of East Orange.
There were no physical injuries reported.
