Suspects took a cell phone and credit cards before they attacked the victim in a Jersey City robbery that occurred on Friday.
According to preliminary reports, the early morning robbery happened in the 200 block of van Nostrand Avenue at approximately 6:25 a.m. where two armed males approached the victim and demanded personal possessions.
When the victim did not reportedly move fast enough for the suspects, one of the males went on the attack.
Police arrived at the scene and requested EMS who treated the victim's facial laceration according to reports.
