Suspect Wanted for Theft From Auto in Newark

Newark Police officials seek the public’s help identifying a suspect wanted in connection with a theft from auto that occurred on Monday, March 29. 

Police say at approximately 8:50 p.m., a vehicle parked at the corner of South 9th Street and 14th Avenue was broken into and the victim’s personal belongings were stolen.

Police investigating the incident obtained surveillance footage of an individual using the victim’s credit cards at businesses in Newark.

Police say the suspect is described as female, wearing a tie-dyed sweat suit and driving a silver mini-van.

While detectives investigating this incident are actively searching for this suspect, they seek the public’s help in quickly identifying this individual.

  All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
