Suspect Wanted for Stealing Tools from Local Company in Newark

Authorities in Newark request the public’s help identifying the male suspect, who stole construction tools valued at $10,000 from an electronics company on June 29.

Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., stated that the burglary occurred at approximately 4:30 a.m. at a building on Commerce Street, between Broad Street and Mulberry Street.

According to Newark officials, on surveillance video, the suspect entered the building, which was open and under construction, from the Raymond Boulevard side of the property.

The suspect took the tools left at the worksite on June 27, 2025, by El Roi Electronic, a Bound Brook company, Newark Police said. 

Newark officials described the suspect as having a medium-brown complexion.

The suspect left the building and headed westbound on Raymond Boulevard with drills, battery chargers, and saws in an orange shopping cart toward Military Park, according to Newark authorities.

Newark officials say he wore a white face mask, a black hat and shirt, a green traffic vest, dark blue jeans, and black sneakers.
