Suspect Wanted for Stealing Scooter in Newark

Authorities in Newark request the public’s help identifying the suspect, who took a victim’s scooter on August 13.

Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr. stated that at approximately 11:40 a.m., the victim left her scooter at the front entrance of the Dollar Tree, a discount store in the 1000 block of Mayor Kenneth A. Gibson Boulevard.

While the victim was inside the store, surveillance video captured the suspect taking the black scooter with a red seat, according to Newark officials. 

Director Miranda urges anyone with information on the suspect’s identity to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
