Authorities in Newark request the public’s help identifying the suspect, who took a package containing a laptop that had been delivered to the front door of a residence on December 20.

Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda Sr. stated that at approximately 4:40 p.m., the male suspect was captured on surveillance video removing the package from in front of the apartment in the 300 block of Hunterdon Street.

He fled in a Burgundy Toyota SUV, according to Newark officials.

Director Miranda urges anyone with information on the suspect’s identity to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
