Suspect Wanted for Stabbing Victim in Newark

Authorities in Newark request the public’s help in identifying the male suspect, who stabbed a victim on July 6.

Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., stated police responded to the incident, which occurred at approximately 4 a.m. in the 200 block of Park Avenue.

According to Newark officials, on surveillance video, the suspect stabbed the victim in his abdomen in the doorway of a residence.

The victim was treated at University Hospital, and the suspect, a Black male, left walking northbound on North 7th Street, Newark officials stated. 

Newark Police said he wore a white T-shirt, black and white sneakers, and a satchel bag across his chest.
