Suspect Wanted for Newark Ironbound Armed Robbery

Police in Newark seeks the public’s help in identifying a male who is wanted in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on Sunday, February 24thth.

According to police, at approximately 8:30 a.m., a man walking in the 100-block of Adams Street was approached by a male who engaged him in conversation before announcing a robbery in Spanish.

Police say the victim was injured with a knife during this incident and arrived at University Hospital for treatment.

Police described the suspect as a 25 to 30-years-old man approximately 5’8” tall.

Police say the suspect wore a light gray hooded sweater, dark colored pants and a dark hat with a red bill.
