Suspect Wanted for Credit Card Theft in Newark

Authorities in Newark request the public’s help identifying the suspect who used a victim’s bank card to make purchases on December 16.

Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda Sr. stated that the victim reported to police that someone had taken her wallet from her purse, which she had placed in a shopping cart at Burlington Stores, located in the 700 block of Mayor Kenneth A. Gibson Boulevard.

At approximately 11:30 a.m., the suspect was captured on surveillance video making purchases with her bank card at the store, according to Newark officials.
