Suspect Wanted for Bump-and-Rob Incident in Newark

Police in Newark requests the public’s help in identifying a male wanted for questioning in connection with a robbery that occurred on Friday, March 25. 

 

Police said at approximately 10 p.m., the vehicle of a male driver was struck by a driver in a light-colored SUV at the intersection of Seymour Avenue and West Bigelow Street.

The victim exited his vehicle to assess the damage and was physically assaulted by the second driver, a male, who took the victim’s wallet, containing debit cards, a NJ driver’s license, and $300.00.

According to police, the male who robbed the victim was accompanied by a female during the incident.

The victim’s debit card was later used at three businesses between March 25, 26, and 27, 2022. 

Detectives investigating this incident seek the public’s help in identifying the male, who is wanted for questioning. He is described as 5’8” to 5’10” tall with a slim build, medium brown complexion, and having short dread locs.

His female accomplice is described as a Black Female, 5’3” to 5’5” tall, with a medium complexion, a medium build, and blonde hair.
