Authorities in Newark need the public’s help identifying a female suspect in connection with an assault that occurred on Wednesday.
According to Newark Police, at approximately 5 p.m., officers responded to a call of an assault on a female bus driver at Broad Street and West Kinney Street
Police say, the suspect demanded that the driver open the bus door, and when she did, the victim entered the bus and began punching and spitting at the driver.
The suspect also threw a water bottle at the driver before exiting the bus.
According to authorities, the suspect is described as African-American, in her twenties, and 5'7” tall.
She wore a black coat, a white skirt, and clear glasses.
