A reported home invasion robbery in Newark has police looking for the suspect that stole the keys from the victim during the robbery.
Police responded to reports of a robbery that occurred in the 700 block of Summer Ave. around 2:15 a.m. The armed suspect reportedly entered the home and robbed the victim at gunpoint, taking the car keys before fleeing the scene.
The vehicle was located a short tme later unoccupied in the 200 block of Oraton Street.
Police also recovered a 2004 Green Chrystler Pacifica that was reported carjacked in the 700 block of Broadway on the same Oraton block.
There were no injuries reported in either incident. It was not immediately clear if the suspects are connected in both incidents.
