Suspect Sought for Stealing Cash from Store Register in Newark

Police in Newark request the public’s help in identifying a man wanted in connection with a business burglary that occurred today. 

Police say, at approximately 2:40 a.m., the suspect used a rock to break the front entrance glass of Fresh Coast, located at 1227 Raymond Boulevard.

According to police, the suspect then opened the cash register and stole $718.00 before fleeing, heading east on Raymond Boulevard toward Broad Street.

Detectives investigating this incident seek the public’s help in quickly identifying the suspect as part of their investigation.

He is described as approximately 6-ft. tall with a full, close-cut beard. He has a medium brown complexion and dreadlocs.

The suspect was wearing a blue button-down shirt, burgundy sneakers and black pants.
