Suspect Sought in South Orange Armed Robbery

Police officials in South Orange were alerted to a robbery that occurred in the Village on Friday evening.

According to preliminary reports, the victim contacted authorities after a male suspect approached in the 300 block of South Orange Avenue and mentioned having a weapon.

Officials say the suspect demanded personal items and was handed an iPhone and Apple watch according to the victim. The suspect then ran from the scene eastbound on South Orange Avenue.

The suspect is described as a black male who was last observed wearing a black t-shirt, jeans and had a tattoo.

There were no physical injuries reported.
