Police are continuing to investigate a robbery that occurred in a section of Newark on Tuesday afternoon.
According to Newark Police officials, at approximately 4 p.m., police were called to the area of 1st and Orange streets to investigate reports of a robbery in progress.
Units arrived at the scene and met the juvenile victim, who reported that a suspect robbed him for his backpack then fled the scene.
Newark Police said they found the victim's backpack after searching the area, but some of his personal property was missing from the bag.
The suspect is reportedly a juvenile, and it is not clear if the suspect produced a weapon at this time.
There were no injuries reported, and the suspect is at large.
This incident remains under investigation.
