There is an active search for two suspects wanted for a carjacking that occurred in Newark overnight.
According to preliminary reports, two suspects targeted the victim of a gray 2010 Honda CRV in the vicinity of 2nd Avenue and North 3rd Street at approximately 2:30 a.m.
The pair of thieves then took the vehicle from the victim before speeding off from the scene.
Authorities say no weapon was shown and the victim did not suffer severe injuries during the altercation. The vehicle has a partial NJ license plate of "G13" according to reports.
The thieves remain on the loose.
